Thank you for visiting our studio website!
Our studio recital is Saturday, June 23, at 1:30 PM at the Clinton Presbyterian Church.
Please join us for an afternoon of musicking!
Musical works and players have the great ability to influence society and touch the lives of many people through 'musicking'. Christopher Small, musicologist, created this verb as a way to describe the process of music making and the many relationships that it establishes.
Beginners through Advanced
All ages and styles. If you would like to start a very young beginner, please schedule a lesson interview to determine if he or she will be ready to begin studies.
At our studio, we desire to share a love for 'musicking' in our music studies. It is our goal in teaching to encourage the dreams of our students and not only teach them how to read notes and understand musical theory, but to encourage a lifelong love and enjoyment of music. Each student will have the opportunity to explore music from classical composers and popular music styles. Lessons include relative repertoire, scales and arpeggios, theory, ear training, sight reading, composition, and improvisation. Students will be encouraged and given opportunities to play in the annual recital and at other events throughout the year. Music studies can bring great satisfaction and personal enjoyment, and I consider it a joy to teach and watch our students learn and develop their musical skills!
I hope you enjoy visiting our studio's site and please feel free to contact us with any comments or questions!
